Torquing your Lug Nuts

After 50 miles, you need to check your lug nuts and torque them to the right specs.

02

How should I load my trailer?

Keeping your trailer load properly distributed is very important. Always load heavier towards the tongue. At least 60% of your payload must be forward of the trailer center, with lighter items in the top and rear. Secure everything with proper tie downs.
03

What kind of warranty do Lamar trailers come with?

We have a three-year frame warranty and a one-year component warranty. Tire warranty is handled by our tire manufacturer; check the sticker on the front of your trailer for contact information.
04

What is the payload on Lamar Trailers?

We have all our weights and payloads listed.
05

I am having trouble with my trailer! What do I do?

All our warranty claims are handled through our dealers. They are able to look at any issues first hand, and have them fixed in-house or outsourced by local reputable businesses.

The quickest way to get your trailer back on the road without hurting your wallet is to bring your trailer in to your local Lamar dealer.

If this is not an option, you can email us direct with your VIN, pictures, and a description of the issue at warranty@lamartrailers.com

Any unauthorized work will not be reimbursed.
06

What is causing my tire wear?

Tire pressure is very important to promoting tire life and performance. Tire pressure should always be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended pressure rating for any given load.

Check tire pressure as follows:
1. Always check tire pressure cold before operation.
2. Do not bleed air from tires when they are hot.

Tire wear should be checked frequently. Once a tire wear pattern is established, stopping becomes difficult, even when the underlying cause is corrected
07

I scratched my trailer, where can I get touch up paint?"

Our charcoal gray color can be matched pretty close with the Rustoleum Gloss Charcoal rattle can available at most hardware stores.
08

My hydraulic reservoir is flooding, how can I fix it?"

Typically, an overflowing reservoir is caused by a low battery.
On a low battery, the cylinder will push air instead of fluid into the cylinder, causing the fluid to be pushed out into the reservoir.
Charge your battery on your dump or tilt trailer, or replace it and cycle the dump up and down to see if the oil will go down.
09

Where is my trailer VIN on my Lamar Trailer?

Your VIN sticker is usually located on the inside of your trailer tongue.
10

Greasing your Axles

If you have grease axles on your trailer, and you like doing proper maintenance on your trailers, you may want to know how to grease them.

We recommend re-greasing your trailer axles once a year or every 12-36 thousand miles.Keep in mind grease will never be used up, it just gets old.

Start by jacking up the trailer so the tires are off the ground.

Remove the grommet off the center of the grease hub.

Attach the nozzle of a manual grease gun to the grease zert.

Using a pnuematic grease gun increases the chance of blowing a seal!

Spin the wheel slowly with one hand and start pumping the grease gun.

You will see the old grease pushed out, and once you see the new grease coming through stop.
Wipe the excess grease off and place the grommet back on.
Repeat on both sides and all axles.

You can find AW-32 Fluid at any local trailer dealership, Home Depot, Lowes, or local parts stores like Advanced Auto Parts, O'Reillys, or Auto Zone.
